Hey! Winter is well on it’s way and we all need a change in our skincare routines, right? It’s hard to get Asian skincare in Pakistan (besides international websites like Yesstyle.com and a few Facebook pages) so I am going to introduce you to a Pakistani store that stocks these products.
Aodour was actually one of my clients a while back when they were launching their brand (I am a content writer) but I didn’t know anything about their authenticity at the time. A few months ago, I went to Emporium Mall, Lahore and decided to try them out. I am happy to report that they sell original beauty products from popular Asian brands like The Face Shop, COSRX, Etude House, etc.
Prices and discounts (5/5)
The prices are definitely fair even with the taxes and the fact that they are selling at retail prices. I have compared this quite a bit since I shop from Yesstyle.com and I’m aware of the awesome discounts there. There are some products that you can get cheaper than retail price at Aodour thanks to their discounts.
If you shop over 3000 PKR at Aodour, you’re eligible for a VIP membership card which is linked to your phone number. They have a point system so you get points for every product that you buy. On their website, there is a category of products on sale just for members.
Customer service (4/5)
Their salesgirls actually have knowledge of the products they are selling and they are very friendly. They listened to me talking to my friends about skincare and said that they learned some new things. They consider your opinion and ask all the right questions before suggesting products. When you show interest in a product, they will tell you all about it. I was satisfied with their customer service at the store. Unfortunately, shopping online from their website is a different story.
Basically, I wanted to make an account on their website and link it to my VIP card to buy a certain product at a discount. They were supposed to send a verification code to my phone which failed several times so I called their helpline. The representative put me on hold for a long time after taking my information and told me he would get back to me in 10 minutes. That never happened. I went to the store a few days ago and the salesgirl explained that I could activate my card when the verification call for my online order comes from their team. However, this was just one experience. I don’t think there are issues with buying online otherwise. Their website offers a good user experience.
Range of products (3/5)
While they do not stock every product from available brands, they are willing to take take customer feedback into account for their upcoming stock. If you are looking to build a whole skincare routine from just products at Aodour, you can surely achieve that. I wish they would add more bestsellers from those brands and sell entire ranges like cleanser, toner, emulsion, essence, serum, etc. for a single range. They have toner-emulsion pairs though which is the most important thing. Sheet masks are sold aplenty which is what most people buy anyway. There are also sunscreens and cosmetics. The cosmetics range is particularly impressive but basic products are there. I loved that they had testers for skincare. You can usually tell if a product works for you after the first use so testers are pretty helpful.
That’s all for my experience! Have you shopped at Aodour? Are you going to try it out now? Let me know and ask me about Asian skincare any time. See you later 🙂
